In our focus areas, BHC owns and operates four very special places for our families, and especially for our children. The BHC Activity Centers are safe, dedicated spaces where school children who reside in BHC properties or in neighboring buildings can attend after school and participate in the BHC Scholars program.

The BHC Scholars program is for neighborhood students in grades 1-12. The program is FREE and has, over time, provided many of our children with the tools to go on to higher education and to become leaders within their households, schools, and communities.

Designed and operated by Learning Architects, Inc., the program is an achievement, academically focused after-school program. In addition to homework assistance and mentoring, the kids also participate in fun and creative activities, special summer programs and become very involved in giving back to their communities.
