Starting in 2003, BHC became involved in the City’s efforts to provide child care opportunities for Burbank parents. BHC now operates two Child Care Centers, both of which have national accreditation and provide the highest quality of care and early childhood development. The program itself is operated by KinderCare Education at Work, a subsidiary of KinderCare, the nation’s largest and premier provider of Child Care services.
BHC manages two Centers; the BHC Child Development Center and the Mary Alice O’Connor Family Center. Between the two, the Centers provide 180 spaces of child care for children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years. 20% of the spaces at the Centers are reserved at subsidized tuition rates for lower-income families that qualify. Our child care centers focus on providing an Early Foundations curriculum and purposeful play to cultivate valuable learning skills.
